Situated near the bottom of Tuff Cliff, this picnic area provides a good view of the cliff and is named for the volcanic ash that has been compressed into hard rock called welded tuff. An educational sign about the cliff is displayed. The area has 3 tables with minimal shading and a single restroom. While there is no official trail from the picnic area to the base of Tuff Cliff there are some faint trails that have developed as people do hike to the cliff from this location.
