This mostly flat, 5-mile round trip hike takes you through pine forests, along grassy meadows, and by a lily pad-covered marsh before arriving at a beautifully dark blue lake that is also plentiful with lily pads. If you hike another half mile to the northeast side of the lake you can have the enjoyment of playing on a sandy beach. The views at the lake are spectacular with the 275-acre blue lake backdropped by Mount Sheridan and the Red Mountains to the south.
