Located along the canyon where the Lamar River tumbles downward over large boulders in the river there is an osprey nest that is perched atop a large pine tree whose upper parts have died. It has become a favorite stop for visitors to view this legendary fish catching creature as well as the rough and tumble Lamar River as it careens down the gorge.
