This picnic area is accessed as you cross over Nez Perce Creek shortly after entering Fountain Flat Drive. The picnic area is flanked on the west by the Firehole River and on the north by Nez Perce Creek, which flows into the Firehole River after it passes by the picnic area on the northwest side. There are 12 picnic tables; 6 positioned along the Nez Perce Creek side, and 6 along the Firehole side. While the area is only moderately shaded, the setting is beautiful. Parking is adequate, and a single restroom, trash dumpster, recycle canisters, are conveniently located.
