Located just off the road at the end of the meadows, and right next to a beautiful stretch of the Gibbon River, this picnic area sits among tall pines offering good shade to its 10 picnic tables. One of the trees is legendary as it bears the scar of grizzly bear claw marks made years ago. See if you can find the marks if you choose this stop for your picnic. There are 2 single restrooms, 2 large trash dumpsters, as well as multiple recyclable canisters for conservation efforts. The parking area is rather small to accommodate vehicles for 10 picnic sites.
