There are 15 sites that each have a table, and 6 of these sites also have a circular fire pit with grate. The area is well-shaded and located on a slight slope. A restroom and large trash dumpster are conveniently located in the center of the area. From this picnic area, a 2.5-mile trail leads to Cascade Lake, but is not the main trail to the lake.
