This 1.7-mile trail does not take you directly to Cascade Lake. Rather, it joins with the Cascade Lake Trail coming from the east and its trailhead on the Tower-Canyon Village road (See that road section). It is approximately one additional mile to then reach the lake. The Cascade Creek Trail begins crossing a small meadow followed by a gradual 50-foot climb as you enter the forest. While the trail parallels Cascade Creek, it is mostly out of sight and travels the edge of a meadow where the creek flows. The trail ends at the junction with the Cascade Lake Trail. It is recommended that if your desired destination is Cascade Lake, that you begin your trek at one of the two Cascade Lake Trailheads on the Tower-Canyon Village road.
